Still Waters of Giverny
The story
This piece is the cornerstone of a series born from a recent journey to France. Standing in Claude Monet’s gardens, I found myself interested in capture the feeling of the place—the mist of Normandy and the quiet ripple of the lily pond.
Still Waters of Giverny represents that meditative state. Through a tonalist palette and gestural brushwork, I’ve sought to capture the oarsman’s quiet passage through the reeds, creating a bridge between the historical legacy of Giverny and my own artistic perspective.

Medium: Original oil on cotton canvas, stretched on high-quality wooden bars.
Dimensions: 41 x 33 cm.
The photos were taken in natural lighting, but keep in mind that colors may appear slightly different on various monitors and devices.
Professional Finishing & Drying Time
To ensure the longevity of your investment, every original oil painting is finished with Gamvar Satin varnish. This museum-quality varnish saturates the colors and protects the surface from UV rays and dust.
Preparation Period: Please allow 7 to 10 days from the date of purchase before shipping. This time is essential for the final layers of oil paint to be fully dry to the touch and for the varnish to cure properly.
Handled with Care: Once the varnish is set, your artwork will be securely packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
Framing & Display Recommendations
Since these works are sold unframed, I suggest the following to preserve their "vintage soul" and adapt them to your space:
Ready to Hang (Canvas Only): The larger works in this series are painted on stretched canvas with finished edges, allowing them to be hung exactly as they are. This "frameless" look offers a clean, contemporary feel that lets the focus remain entirely on the atmospheric texture of the oil paint.
Frame Style: If you prefer a traditional look, a natural oak or walnut frame—or one with a subtle vintage gold patina—beautifully enhances the nostalgic atmosphere of the collection. For the canvases, a "floating frame" is also an excellent choice to provide structure while maintaining the edge-to-edge visibility of the work.
Glass is Optional: Because each piece is professionally varnished with Gamvar Satin, framing with glass is not strictly necessary. You may choose to display the painting without glass to fully appreciate the rich, satin texture and the depth of the brushwork without reflections.
