Station Clock Close View (2/2)
On this dual-study I represented a station clock. Clocks are far more than tools to measure hours; they are symbols of the only thing we truly own: our time.
In these paintings, I wanted to capture the clock as part of its environment—hanging there, weathered and steady, while the world rushes beneath it. I love how it stands as a silent witness to all those arrivals and departures, reminding us to be present in our own journey.
Medium: original oil painting on archival-quality heavy paper.
Size: One at 10x15 cm.
Note: Created as part of a dual-study on perspective.
The photos were taken in natural lighting, but keep in mind that colors may appear slightly different on various monitors and devices.
Professional Finishing
To ensure the longevity of your investment, every original oil painting is finished with Gamvar Satin varnish. This museum-quality varnish saturates the colors and protects the surface from UV rays and dust.
Framing Recommendations
Since these works are sold unframed, I suggest the following to preserve their "vintage soul":
Glass is Optional: Because each piece is professionally varnished, framing with glass is not strictly necessary. You may choose to display the painting without glass to fully appreciate the rich, satin texture and the depth of the brushwork without reflections.
For Works on Paper: f you do choose to use glass, I highly recommend an acid-free mat (paspartú) in ivory or off-white. This creates a safe air gap between the paint and the glass, ensuring the oil remains protected.
Frame Style: A natural oak or walnut frame, or one with a subtle vintage gold patina, beautifully enhances the nostalgic atmosphere of the collection.
