This was one of the very first pieces for "As if it were a memory," marking the true beginning of a series that has become so important to me. When I painted this, I didn't know that months of deep work and discovery lay ahead, but I felt a shift. It was the moment I started to use my brushes to narrate my dream life—the beautiful rolling hills and the gentle presence of the countryside.

Horse and hills represents the courage to start dreaming out loud and the peace of finding a landscape where my soul feels at ease.

This painting was created using oil paints on a cotton canvas.
